Binchotan (Japanese Oak) activated charcoal is the highest grade of charcoal. These charcoals are from the Kishu region of Japan.
The outstanding natural qualities aid in diminishing odor and hardness in water, resulting in enhanced taste of drinking water. The filtration process typically takes 3-4 hours.
6 sticks of binchotan charcoal included per package. Average size of each stick is approximately 0.5" in diameter and 4" in length. Individual size may vary as this is a natural product.
Slim binchotan charcoals are rare, and these have been specifically selected to fit through the mouth of personal water bottles. Use 1 stick for a personal water bottle, or use 2 sticks for a carafe. 1 stick can filter up to 750 ml (25.4 oz) of water. Reactivate charcoal every two weeks by boiling for 10 minutes and letting dry.
Do not use with water that is microbiologically unsafe or of unknown quality.
