Reactivate charcoal every two weeks by boiling for 10 minutes and letting dry.
Binchotan (Japanese Oak) activated charcoal is the highest grade of charcoal. These charcoals are from the Kishu region of Japan.
Use one stick for every two liters of water; each stick measures around 0.75 to 1 inch (2 to 2.5 centimeters) across and 4 centimeters (10 centimeters) long.
Binchotan charcoal is effective at absorbing odor, reducing water hardness, and improving the taste of drinking water. Filtering time is approximately 3-4 hours.
Do not use with water that is microbiologically unsafe or of unknown quality.
