Do not cool a hot pot suddenly to prevent cracking. Avoid putting the pot on fire if the bottom is wet or leaving it immersed in water for an extended period. After use, wash it thoroughly with water, ensure it is dry before storing. It is normal for moisture to seep out from the bottom of the pot over time.

Small cracks, known as "kannyuu" in Japanese, may appear as the pot ages. In such cases, cook porridge or boil water with flour to add character to your pot.
